This certification and its associated training are important for a channel partner organization looking to increase it sales of HP storage solutions. The presales consultant supports the sales cycle by architecting an HP StorageWorks solution for a customer by understanding the customer’s business needs and translating them into an HP solution. The presales consultant is able to speak the customer’s language and explain the business benefits of the proposed HP solution. 

This certification is aimed at HP channel partners and employees in a technical presales role.  Such professionals support sales representatives in the sales cycle by designing and planning an effective storage solution that will solve customer business needs.

The candidate for this certification must complete 1 core requirement exam.

Superseded Certification and Upgrade Path:
APC – HP StorageWorks Solutions [2010] supersedes APC – HP StorageWorks Solutions [2009], which can no longer be attained after 1 February 2011. Due to the extensive new content in the course, there is no delta training or exam. All candidates must complete exam HP0-J40.
